The tree Association will be working
with Tunkhannock Streetscape Project to insure trees remain in the newly
renovated areas of our downtown.
We have received a grant to enable us use
of Cornell Structured Soil to be used in the new side walk area to create tree
plantings that will let the trees grow and be healthy without damage to the
sidewalks." |

Working together to benefit our Community
Working with local Organizations to enable funding through
grants to maintain and purchase trees, to help our community trees supplying
oxygen, shade, and beauty in our town.
Tunkhannock Borough and the Tunkhannock Tree Association
have adopted a shade tree ordinance* to benefit and protect our
urban Forest.
*Permits are required for pruning, planting and removal
*Permit are available from any Shade Tree Commissioners or at the
Tunkhannock Borough Office.
