Beginners:  Introduction to basic skills and knowledge in a specific activity to complete the tour.  How to paddle a canoe or pedal and shift a bicycle with skill.  What shoes to wear hiking and technique used in cross country skiing and snowshoe.  Basic set up and technique.  Sometimes this is very informative even for those with experience.

 
 

 

 

History:  General preview of history in area of tour.  History is geological and cultural.  View of culture studies, Native American, colonial settlements, industrial age and current trends.

 
 

 

 

Nature:  Plants, animals and rocks.

 
 

 

 

Performance:  Challenging activity with appropriate skill level and target objective of recipient.  This might serve an athlete who is training for an event or race.  Our guides are very specific with their coaching.  An individual or group who just wants to get out for a hard day's work might pursue this theme.  Either a lot of ground is covered or conditions are hard and skill or stamina is required.  Difficult weather may also play a role.

 
 

 

 

Fun:  These tours are created with fun in mind.  They cover interesting areas of terrain and give people a good time with their type of outing.  The activity can be challenging or luxuriant.  Plenty of time is given taking breaks, eating and socializing.  Guides are courteous helping parties explore their interests.  Leave all the difficult details to the guide.
