Happenings

Game Night is Back! Kids ages 8 and up are invited to come play games at the library on Friday, March 12, 6:00-7:30.  Bring some of your favorites! (Limit 15 kids)

The Tunkhannock Public Library's Story Time will begin its winter/spring schedule. Story time begins January 13th and runs every Wednesday through May 12th.  All ages are welcome, there's no fee and no sign-up. BUT....if TASD is closed, so is the library!
Readers choose stories, songs and craft themes that are suitable for pre-schoolers. It begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Library Community Room.  If you would like to be a guest reader, please contact the library for information. New reader participants are always welcome!

New and used books are always on display in the "Book Room, which is found through the door under the "EXIT" sign at the rear of the library.

We welcome donations of new and used books and are anxious to include them in our updated and improved collection of books for sale.
Donations can be left at the back door of the library Monday thru Saturday. Drive around the library --- past the outside book drop.
Please do not bring magazines, Readers' Digest Condensed Books, encyclopedias, textbooks (except just recently used) or musty (been stored too long) items.

Take a look at "Scene" at the Library and get a preview of what's happening or happened at the library.

The Tunkhannock Public Library is a center of activities for the entire county.  The Community Room is used by countless organizations for their meetings.  In addition, there are concerts and seminars held there that are open to the public.  The weekly list of events is posted in the lobby and can usually be found on our online calendar.

The Library is famous for its Schedule of Summer Programs for children.  Reading and spending time at the Library is definitely a cool thing to do. The schedule for summer programs is usually announced around the middle of May. Informational flyers will be distributed to all of the area elementary schools, as well as the fifth graders in the middle school. Watch here on the website for an early look at what will be available.

There is always a fund-raiser in the works at the Library.  By participating in one of the events such as the Wine Tasting, Golf Tournament, Fall & Spring Book Sales or the Christmas Show, community members can support the work of the Library and have fun, too.
