Come and check out our Discovery Kits in the Children's Section here at the library.

In the fall of 2004 The Tunkhannock Public Library was notified of its inclusion in the 2004-2005 P&G Fund contributions. A gift of $5,000.00 was committed to the Discovery Kits project. Together the Fund and the Library have created twenty (20) theme boxes which can enhance the learning of pre-school through third grade children of our community.

After completing a Discovery Kit form any adult library patron may check out a Discovery Kit. Since the form will be placed in a file, it must only be completed once. The patron will also receive a copy for future reference. The rules of use are listed on the form. The Kits are checked out for a 7-day period and cannot be renewed. Each family is limited to one kit per week. The overdue fine is $1.00 per day.
 

Each Kit contains one or more books, a video or DVD, a manipulative and a list of possible activities.
