Readers guild levels Membership in the Readers Guild is open to readers between the ages of 6 and 15 (must be able to read independently and must have his or her own library card).

Book point values · Picture (blue sticker on spine) and Easy Reader books (EZ sticker on spine) - 1 point · Junior chapter books (including junior graphic novels), junior nonfiction and junior biography - 2 points · Young adult (including young adult graphic novels) and adult fiction, nonfiction and biography - 3 points · Audio books and magazines have no point value. · Bonus points for specific books that are read during certain time periods (for example, double points on poetry books completed during National Poetry Month). Bonus points will be advertised in advance.

checked out from our public or school library
or may be assigned in school to have a point
value. Readers
must have their own library cards. |

Additional information · Readers may participate in both the Readers Guild and the Read for Treasures summer reading program. During the Read for Treasures timeline, readers may count books for both programs. · Readers of all levels will be listed on the library webpage. · Readers that reach Level 4 will have the special title of Master placed before their names. Master readers' names and the year that they achieved master reader status will be listed on the webpage permanently. · Readers Guild members will be honored at a recognition event at the library in the spring.
