Mission
 

The mission of the Tunkhannock Public Library is
to provide all Wyoming County residents free and convenient access
to a wide range of information, education and entertainment.
 

Monies raised during the annual "Friends" fundraiser help pay for some of the daily operating expenses of the library. Also, special items or events that are not included in the library budget are paid for through the "Friends" organization. "Friends" benefits include free tickets to the annual Christmas show or early ticket purchases for the annual Wine Tasting Gala.

The PayPal link on the TPL home page can be used to make donations to the Friends by specially indicating such during the PayPal process.

This year, 2011, the "Friends" invested a portion of the organization's accumulated funds in the Community Foundation of Susquehanna and Wyoming Counties. This action reinforces the strong desire of library leadership in maintaining the services of the library regardless of the support received from state funds.

If you have never given, please become a Friend. If you have given, please consider increasing your donation. This is your opportunity to invest in our community library and all the services it makes available to our county and beyond.
