Professionalism
and friendliness
promote a state of ease.
There are so many
exciting ways to restore health.
No one route will work for all people, or all conditions.
Our job is to find out what fits each person's needs, and do our
best
to provide it, or direct them elsewhere, when appropriate
Believe it or not,
you can often find a parking spot right outside the center!
Our clients take
an active role in learning how to help themselves.
Education cannot be over-emphasized. While Mom or Dad is
getting a treatment, the children get to reinvent
the dinosaur!
Chiropractic at
the Holistic Health Center is thorough and low force. Clients
may be assured that adjustments here will
not produce anxiety or pain
When people feel
relaxed and cared for, healing can be accomplished
most efficiently.
Dr. Fennelly,
certified in Applied Kinesiology, uses muscle testing to
detect underlying causes of acute and chronic conditions.
Integrating
mind, body and spirit for optimal health.
WELCOME to The Holistic
Health Center in Tunkhannock, Pa., an oasis for those seeking
holistic answers for their health concerns.
You have come to a place where you will find dedicated practitioners who want to aid you in your
journey back to good
health and peace! Peace of mind and spirit are as important to
the healing process
as any of the physical modalities we offer,
so we address the mind and spirit as well as the physical body.
For those who are skeptical or are unfamiliar with the
spirit/mind/body connection,
please read on and learn about this very important connection.
Not knowing of it may be
why you continue to suffer with physical symptoms.
We Offer the
following:
Chiropractic and Applied Kinesiology:
Begin your journey back to health with an Applied Kinesiology examination,
which can uncover underlying causes for apparent symptoms. Low force chiropractic
adjustments help, not only with musculo/skeletal problems, but also with immune dysfunction,
fatigue, headaches, and numerous other symptoms.
Massage Therapy:
Helpful in conjunction with Chiropractic, or on its own. Massage Therapy has many immune
response benefits, as well as it's relaxation benefits, for which it is well-known. Neonatal and pre
and postpartum massage are offered, as well.
Foot Reflexology:
A science that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which
correspond to all the glands, organs, and other parts of the body. The
reflexologist uses the
tips of the thumbs and fingers on these reflex areas.
Reiki:
A gentle touch method of natural healing, and a process of becoming balanced
and energized physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. The
practitioner's hands are
sometimes placed on or just above the client's body.
Relaxation/Meditation:
A half hour guided
meditation: 12:30 - 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
Offered for the sole purpose of sitting and being.
This time spent
"non-doing", could be your most productive time of the day.
Once
people experience this, they wonder why everyone in town doesn't
take advantage of it.
Shiatsu:
This Asian art refers to "finger pressure", which is a form of bodywork. The palms, thumbs, elbows,
and knees are connected to the energy pathways and
acupuncture points
of your body, to gently balance its energy.
Tai Chi:
An ancient
Chinese form of exercise originally taught for self defense, but
because of it's profound health benefits, is sought by
health conscious enthusiasts as well as those seeking relief of
crippling and persistent health challenges.
Scientific studies found the following benefits:
Improved balance and fall prevention
Blood pressure reduction
Lowered cholesterol
Pain reduction
Cardiovascular benefits
Improved sleep quality
Improved immune function
Stress relief

Yoga:
A systematic, and gentle form of exercise that involves
stretching, breathing awareness, and concentration, in order
to tone, energize and relax both body and mind. Enough
cannot be said about the overall benefits to the mind, body
and spirit, for those who consistently practice yoga.
Barbara Cohen, instructor, teaches Svaroopa-style yoga .
"Svaroopa" refers to the inherent state of bliss within all of
us. Using breath, postures and a working knowledge of the body, this unique
style of hatha yoga explores the body with precision and compassion. Svaroopa
Yoga, when practiced regularly, allows you to experience a spacious,
rejuvenating feeling of coming home to your body. Through assisted poses, it
provides freedom from tension and allows access to your own inner knowing. The
experience calms the mind and stills the emotions that interfere with just
being in the moment. All the activities of your daily life can be enriched. It
will help you look better and feel better...from the inside out.
A Course In Miracles Study Group:
Offered every Monday at 7:00 p.m.
to 8:30 p.m.
The "Course" is one of many paths to psycho/spiritual healing. It is based
on the premise that all people are one with each other and universal spirit
. Participants share ideas and explore how changes in attitudes and
perception can bring about the personal changes that lead to a happier and more harmonious
life.
All are welcome.
